Board of Health
The Board of Health helps to protect the health and well-being of the Plympton residents. Its major role is to issue permits and licenses for septic systems and wells and to manage the trash disposal process.

Building Inspector
The Building Inspector reviews plans for building construction, destruction or alterations for compliance with state codes, local by-laws, and other applicable regulations; conducts on-site inspections and issues building permits and certificates of occupancy.

Gas and Plumbing Inspector
The Gas and Plumbing Inspector performs varied and detailed inspectional duties to ensure compliance with gas and plumbing standards, laws and regulations.

Wiring Inspector
The Wiring Inspector enforces the Massachusetts Electrical Code. He reviews permit applications and plans for electrical work, issues permits and inspects premises for which permits have been issued as the work progresses and also upon completion.

Zoning Enforcement Officer
The Zoning Enforcement Officer enforces zoning by-laws and initiates inspections and enforcement actions as proscribed by State statute and Town by-law. He provides interpretation of zoning by-laws, and if warranted, initiates legal action to enforce the by-laws.
