Town Meetings & Elections
Town meeting and election information including warrants, budgets, sample ballots, candidate position papers and election results and well as extensive guides to town meetings and Plympton's governmental structure.
Board of Assessors
The Assessors are is required by Massachusetts law to list and value all real and personal property.
Board of Selectmen
Pay all Town bills, grant licenses and permits, make appointments to town committees, departments, commissions and boards;
prepare the Town Meeting warrant, compile and distribute the Annual Town Report, sign election warrants, and work with Town Counsel.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee's prime responsibility is to make recommendations on all financial matters, including the budget, to Town Meeting.
Moderator
The Moderator conducts Town Meetings in an efficient, orderly fashion in accordance with the "Town Meeting Times", the current guide for these events.
Town Clerk
The Town Clerk serves as Chief Election Official, Recording Officer, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Public Records Officer, Licensing Officer and Public Information Officer.
Town Treasurer
The treasurer's office is responsible for the day to day financial aspects of the town.
Wage & Personnel Board
The Wage & Personnel Board establishes and manages job classification and compensation plans for positions in the Town of Plympton, other than those filled by election or under direct control of the School Committee.
Anti-Casino Task Force
The Board of Selectmen created the Task Force in August, 2007 to address the Proposed Middleboro Casino, and to assist Selectmen and thereby the town in their efforts to prevent the development of the proposed casino project.
